Travelling from prospect park to parkside station in flatbush, brooklyn. Train is almost empty, no passengers talking. Audio starts in the car, announcements are heard. Upon arrival at parkside, recording transitions to outside the train. It hisses and pulls away from station. Recorded with an iphone 11.

Gem pathescope 9. 5mm projector, unit #1191, made in england. Recorded on a marantz pmd661 with a rode nt4 stereo mike. The gem is a variable speed projector, controlled by a rheostat. Speed for this recording was unknown, but probably 5-10 fps. Microphone was facing the operational side of the projector, 50 cm away. Audio begins with power being turned on, ends with power being turned off. The speed variation during recording occurred naturally.

An edited version of my upload uke_single_notes. Wav. I shortened that recording to its last four notes, then included a fade out to eliminate most of the non-ukelele sound at the end. The beginning of this mid-january 2023 recording features some sounds from several people playing pickleball. Towards the end of this audio, the laughter of the kids really takes center stage. By now covid is getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror, mother nature has decided to give us an extra 15 degrees of warmth and the adults, and youngsters are having fun just being outside and smiling and laughing. This is audio i recorded of my husband using his ten year old decrepit constant positive air pressure sleeping machine. I was trying to convince him that he needed a new one. The variety of sounds he and it managed to make is extraordinary. The intermittent beeping is the machine's warning sound. When i played it for him he cried laughing. A very loud and rumbly thunderstorm rolled through jefferson city, mo. I set up my zoom h4n with the mics set to 120 degrees to record the storm. Less than a minute after i started recording, a lightning bolt hit just across the street. A lot of loud and rumbly thunder in this audio clip.

This was recorded next to the shore of the tennessee river near savannah in west tennessee with a samsung galaxy phone. The video was poor quality however i used blender to separate the audio from the video. This was altered slightly with audacity to reduce the constant noise of a distant motor boat.

This is a short, but detailed audio recording from my police scanner. It is the "ending" of a dea surveillance being held in my local community. You will hear the dea agents (ground units) following the target suspect as he leaves home, then eventually at the end, you will hear the local pd meeting up with them to stop and capture the suspect. Because of the short-range distant of the dea's radio transmissions, some audio will be "scratchy", yet it is audible. Enjoy!.
